NBA Initiates Inquiry into Alleged Involvement of Nikola Jokic’s Brother in Altercation During Lakers Game

The NBA has launched an investigation into the actions of Strahinja Jokic, the brother of Denver Nuggets’ standout Nikola Jokic, following a video surfacing that purportedly shows him punching an individual after the Nuggets’ victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night, as reported by The Athletic.

The incident unfolded after the Nuggets secured a 101-99 win over the Lakers in the second Western Conference first-round playoff series game. Video footage circulated online, capturing Strahinja Jokic, along with another brother Nemanja, engaging in a confrontation with two individuals in the stands at Ball Arena. The video suggests that Strahinja threw a punch at one of the fans, using his right hand to strike the individual’s face.

While the Nuggets organization has not issued an official statement regarding the incident, reports indicate they are actively investigating it.

Notably, the Jokic brothers have a history of standing up for Nikola and reacting strongly to what they perceive as disrespectful behaviour towards him. This sentiment was evident in their past social media feud with NBA players Marcus and Markieff Morris. Moreover, in a separate incident back in 2017, Strahinja had to be restrained by arena security to prevent him from confronting a referee.
